Technology Access Centres (TACs) are specialized research and development centres embedded within Canadian colleges and cégeps.
They offer SMEs access to expertise, facilities, and applied research services that they might not otherwise afford.
TACs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by experts who can assist with prototyping, testing, process improvements, and more.
Their primary role is to help companies develop new products, services, or processes.
They bridge the gap between academic research and practical business applications. There are over 60 TACs across Canada, each with different areas of specialization.
