To initiate a Visit, a firm must first receive a referral from their assigned NRC IRAP Industrial Technology Advisor (ITA) or Client Engagement Advisor (CEA).
Once referred, the firm submits an application through the Tech-Access Canada portal at https://portal.tech-access.ca.
The application includes company details, a description of the technical challenge, and desired outcomes. The ITA or CEA must confirm the referral before the project moves forward.
Tech-Access Canada then assigns the project to the appropriate TAC, either as requested by the firm or through the Jump Ball Initiative.
The TAC reviews the request, develops a Statement of Work, and coordinates with the client to proceed.
