Eligible participants are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in Canada.
These businesses must be incorporated, profit-oriented, and typically have fewer than 500 employees.
The program targets companies that seek innovation-driven growth through new product development or process improvements. Firms must be referred by an NRC IRAP Industrial Technology Advisor (ITA) or a Client Engagement Advisor (CEA).
The program is intended for businesses facing a defined innovation challenge that TACs can help resolve. Eligible companies often lack the in-house capacity for advanced research and development.
