This higher fee reflects the larger project scope and involvement of multiple TACs or research centres.
The $500 is paid directly to Tech-Access Canada, which then distributes the funds to the participating TACs according to their share of the work.
Like the Traditional Visit, this fee is heavily subsidized by NRC IRAP. The Strategic Intervention offers enhanced value given the depth of engagement and multi-disciplinary support.
It remains a cost-effective way for SMEs to tackle larger innovation challenges.
